Good morning foolish mortals. Here we are in July and in a new state since my last update. It's been a couple of weeks as I've been busy transitioning to my new job and new life. On June 17th, 2021, after having my house packed up and shipped, I loaded up my truck, The Desert Runner, and headed east to Florida. Took 3 days to drive the 2600 plus miles. Was going to stop and hit Six Flags in San Antonio but opted not to as I got there and saw the crowds were massive.
So, arrived in Florida June 20th, 2021 and have been living in a hotel since, provided by corporate. Can't wait to get into something permanent as I've lived in hotels before and it gets tiring.
I love being in Orlando so I can enjoy all the amenities it has to offer such as theme parks, great golf and more. I'm closer to family too, which is needed in this time, so that's a plus.
So, first week of work is coming to a close and a 4 day weekend. Need the time as it's been tiring this week.

Greetings foolish mortals. Well, after wanting to get back to California after leaving it after the Navy and finally getting back almost 6 years ago, I am once again leaving. It's been aw very bittersweet time for me over the past month as I've struggled with my decision but ultimately, I feel it is the best choice. The new job is exciting and I can't wait to get started. Lots of driving ahead for me but it will also be therapeutic. And of course, I never close any doors...

Greetings foolish mortals. Welcome to June and get ready, big changes are coming very soon. A lot has happened over the past few weeks. While I don't publicize the personal life so much, I do mention things that have a direct impact on me. A few weeks ago, my dad had a stroke that sent him to the hospital and got me on a plane, flying across the country with little notice. Dad has now been transferred to a rehab facility where he will work on the transition to a new life.

Greetings foolish mortals and may the 4th be with you...always.
Wow!!! An update only a few days after my other one. What's going on? Maybe I'm on track to try to keep this going at an even pace and keep things updated.
Really not a whole lot going on right now. Disneyland is open, Universal is open, Six Flags is open and Knotts is opening this week. YAY!!! Just hoping we're gonna see our beloved haunts come to town for the season. Fingers crossed.

Greetings foolish mortals. Welcome to May. Another month down in the books for 2021. We are fast approaching the best time of the year. Halloween!!!
Things and places are opening here in beautiful SoCal. Disneyland opened yesterday after over a year of being closed.
The BBP is doing well. Recovered from our 2nd vaccination and back on our workout regiment. Took a 10 mile ride this morning on our new bike. Looking at next month, taking it up to Big Bear for some serious mountain biking...

Greetings foolish mortals. Wow. Today, 8 years ago, found me with my second, brick red, Nissan Frontier Crew Cab truck. Loved that truck and only chose to sell it to assist others. Also a date that lives in my memory as I also went out later that night to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino with a friend and won a few hundred dollars. Ah...the good times.
So here we are, at the end of April and it looks like things are opening up and life is starting tor resemble a little bit of what it used to...

Welcome foolish mortals...to April. Better late than never eh!!! Just been a crazy first week in April and the end of March. Got my first vaccinate and of all places, at Disneyland. April Fool's Day came and went as did this past weekend.

Welcome foolish mortals and top of the morning to ya!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day. Hope you toast up a Guinness in light of this holiday.
Seems forever, but 10 years ago, the BBP was in Dublin, Ireland celebrating. Was quite possibly some of the most fun times and memories I've had in a long time. The streets and pubs were all crowded with partiers and much Guinness was consumed in a span of 3 days. It was a much needed and welcomed trip from Afghanistan.

It's hard at times to just break away and wrote down my thoughts or the on goings throughout the days, weeks and month.
