Feb 4th - A tough month

Good morning foolish mortals.  This is a little late from my customary 1st day of the month post and I also haven't updated since Jan1st.  Have had some family issues where my mother was put into the hospital in the second part of January. Been a lot of heavy emotions and difficult times to process during that time.

It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to her on Feb 2nd.  While she'd been having trouble and we all wanted her pain to end, it was still hard for us, especially my dad who was with her for almost 62 years. She went peacefully and hopefully painlessly as we were all around her for her last breath.

This quote means so much to me and I think it is very appropriate for this now:

There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness but of power.
They are messengers of overwhelming grief and of unspeakable love.

Mom was an amazing woman and we all loved her dearly.  She will be missed tremendously.

We love you mom.

January 1st - Happy New Year!!!

Welcome foolish mortals...to 2023. Thankfully, 2022 is now a memory.  We've got a chance to start anew with the new year and make amends to all our issues.  I know there is much I can do better and trying to do so. 

I know I've said this many times but this year I wil work on updating the site more than I have.  I haven't had as many things to post or pictures to upload but I think I will refresh my Europe pics as I love Europe and want to go back there soon.

Dec 2nd - Welcome to December

Welcome foolish mortals...to December and the holiday season high drive.  It's the time to spend too much money and also try to be a little better than before.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  Can't say I did.  I had a literal shitty day from a sewer backup that flooded the house, tubs and toilets.  Took all night to get the leaking to stop and clean up as much as possible but it leaked into the walls and carpet. It's also WDW 51st anniversary.  Epcot 40th anniversary.

Recovering after the storm and it's been a mess.  Lots of trees down, branches and flooding.  Safe though.

Sep 3rd - Welcome September

Greetings foolish mortals.  I know, I haven't touched this in a month.  With not sleeping and being exhaisted part of it as well as not feeling well and a litany of other things going on, I just didn't have time or feel like it.  Been a rough month and start to the new month too.
