Sep 1 - Hello September

Wow!!!  September is here.  August is now history.  The season is almost here.  Epcot Food and Wine Festival starts in a few weeks.  Howl-O-Scream and Halloween Horror Nights is right around the corner too.  There is some exciting stuff coming up.  I can't wait. 

Life is going good too.  Feeling a lot better and the positive outlook is strong and kicking.

August 12th - Happy Birthday

August 13, 2013
A few things going on today.  A year ago, after being away for over a year, my feet touched American soil again as I returned from Iraq.  It was a really good day and memorable. 

And today is another great day.  Not only is it my birthday, but it's also the beginning of some new things in life, happiness and positive outlook.  Many adventures are ahead and I'm looking forward to them. 

Robin and Brody have done well.

August 6th - One year ago

August 6, 2013
One year ago today, I left Iraq for good after being there for one year.  Went through numerous rocket attacks, moved 3 times to 3 different bases but finally got out of there on this date.  It was a very happy time as I began a long journey back home.  Even though things didn't turn out the way I had envisioned, I am a lot happier and in a much better place.  Nice to have known you FU3.

August 2nd - Welcome August

Wow!  The time has been flying.  I just completed my first month at the new company and have to say, it's the best!!!  I'm learning new things, working with good people and working for a great company!  They know how to treat their people.

July 22nd - Grandma

Here we are at 2 years since you left us.  It's been difficult at times for myself with a lot going on.  Sometimes, I would come by and visit your site and talk to you and it would make me feel a little better but also make me miss you even more.  There have been times I wished I could have talked to you because you were always the one to show love, compassion and caring.  You made a lot of people better for just spending some time with them.  Your great grandson is so tall now and asks about...

July 12th - Good Times

OK!  I've done it again where it has been over 2 weeks since I've touched my site.  I have no excuses.  I will make sure to pay better attention to the site.  I'm looking at doing some major changes so we shall see what I can come up with.

June 25th - Last week

June 25, 2013
Again...WOW!!!  Where does the time go when you're having fun?  Actually, it's just been crazy as I prepare to finish up my last few days working with the military and going back into the corporate world.  I'm looking forward to the change because the way the military runs things is not somewhere I want to work anymore.  Need to pan out and get into this new experience and take it for all it's worth.  I'm excited and ready for this.

May 17th - Happy Birthday Zach

Today is a very special day.  It is Zachary's birthday.  He turns 14 officially in just over 2 hours.  The last 2 years I'd been away overseas and unable to spend his birthday with him but this year, he and I have been on a whirlwind tour of Orlando.  We've gone to Aquatica, Sea World, where he rode his first flying roller coaster, Manta and then went swimming with the dolphins and an underwater adventure at Discovery Cove.  Today we are heading to Walt Disney World where we will be camping a...

May 13th - A good week

May 13, 2013
This is going to be a good week.  I get to spend my son's birthday with him after missing the past 2 years because I was overseas.  Gonna have some fun with dolphins, camping and other surprises he doesn't know about.
