Sep 30th - A Day of Remembering

Greetings foolish mortals.  Here we are at the last day of September.  While tomorrow is the beginning of October and we're in the fanfare of my favorite time of the year, this is always a special day and it's not for a good reason.

30 years ago on this day, I lost one of my best friends and two other friends in a helicopter crash.  I was on my way to the Persian Gulf for Desert Shield later Desert Storm.  Off the coast of Oregon on this night, my roommate Bill "Nick" Nolte was killed in a dual engine failure in his SH-60B Seahawk helicopter.  When I was told the next morning about the crash, I didn't know how to respond.  I was in shock and didn't realize it at the moment.  I've seen the response I had in movies or tv and they nailed the emotions.  I was in disbelief, denial, anger almost all at the same time.  It was hard to understand how it happened because it was never fully explained until I learned more later.  Even this time later, 30 years, I'm still greatly affected by this.  I will never forget my bud, my mate and my friend.  We had some great times.

Sep 10th - Memories

Greetings foolish mortals.  It's been a couple of days since the anniversary but I wanted to acknowledge it, even if it is a couple of days late.

Sep 1st - Welcome to September

Welcome foolish mortals!!!  Here we are in September.  The greatest birthday month in history is now behind us and we're looking forward.

Aug 20 - Month of hell

August 21, 2020
Greetings foolish mortals.  Wow!!!  What a month August has been.  It's been hot as hell out here in SoCal.  We got fires going on and earthquakes.  

The BBP even had a birthday last week but was too sick to really enjoy it.  Caught some kind of bug that really took us out of commission for about 5 days.  UGH!!!  There wasn't really much celebrating either as we're locked down still.  Had a little bit of fun but overall, not much or enough.

Aug 1st - Welcome August

Greetings foolish mortals...to the month of August.  The month that is the season of the lion and also has some great people born in this month.

We are here to recognize this month as now beginning...even within the middle of the craziness we're all dealing with right now.  Fear not, for things shall be changed and much of this madness will get replaced in November.

July 1st - Welcome to July

July 1, 2020
Welcome foolish mortals...to July.  Another month upon us and another month of craziness continues.  Out here on the best coast, we have more cases climbing and shutting us down.  Due to a scare last week, the BBP had to get tested and luckily everything came back negative.  Still kicking ass on the wild side.

Welcome foolish mortals and Happy Father's Day and also happy summer and the summer solstice.

Been a crazy time still in the world of the good ole USA!!!  We have so much divisive in this country and hoping it will begin to heal this November.  

So summer is upon us and we're hoping things go well and hope the pandemic eases up so we can enjoy things again.  Hoping for Halloween.
