Greetings foolish mortals.  Well, it's been 2 years to the date that I started a new part in my life.  I have had the opportunity to work at perhaps my favorite position in almost eve.  I've been handed the keys to my position and have run with it, never looking back.  Have done a lot of impressive things over the past 2 years and most of them, I am very proud of.

Looking back now to our favorite time of the year, I've got some more updates on Knott's Scary Farm and also a new one in Disney's California Adventure.

Have gone back to Knott's several times since my last writing and I do have to say, it's gotten much better.  Went back to Trick or Treat.  This time, it seemed to be lacking actors in the maze but the theme and music still make it great.  5/5

Next one was The Infected.  This is a maze where you're handed a laser gun and put through a maze filled with the undead.  I loved this maze.  Was really getting into the action but my only drawback was they sent too many people with me at the same time.  Everyone else was just walking and looking around.  I had my guy with me and we were running and looking all around and in the swing of the things.  However, the others just stopped and got in the way.  I'd love a chance to go through with just the two of us and see how we do.  It was still pretty awesome though.  5/5

Went back to Shadowlands for a second time.  The theming is awesome and even the music is good too but the overall effect of this maze is just a miss.  It's hard to make this one scary or even creepy when you're looking at "prostitutes" who are just standing there.  3/5 and the 3 is for the theme

RedBarn is still pretty tired.  It's mostly about gore and things like that.  This time was even a lesser score.  1.5/5

Pumpkin Eater has been a constant this year.  Creepy and awesome sound affects and just a well done maze.  4.5/5

Rode Ghostrider and it was awesome!!!  It never let up on the speed, airtime or what makes it a great coaster.  Fast, smooth-ish and just plain fun.  One of my favorite "woodies" out there.  5/5

Was able to go to Disney's California Adventure yesterday too.  The weather was perfect, maybe a little hot, but not humid like Florida.

Went on Soarin as the first ride and after a brief 20 minute wait, got on.  Haven't been on this ride at all at DCA but have been on it at Epcot, although I haven't been on it since they redid the video.  I have to say, I liked the old one much better, when it was called "Soarin over California" or just "Soarin" at Epcot.  It just seemed to lack the impact like it did before.  I mean, it was nice and it had the smells working but it was just lacking something I can't pinpoint.  3/5

Next up was Radiator Springs.  This is an awesome ride.  Part dark ride and part high speed ride.  You start out touring the mountain road of Radiator Springs and see scenes from the movie.  Then you drop inside the dark ride portion and interact with all the characters from the movie in town.  It's very well done and very cool to see these life sized cars come to life.  After the dark ride, you exit the building into a high speed race with another car.  I found the car on the left side won the race every time I rode but that may not be true.  The scenery is amazing though my guy said it might be "TOO themed."  I might agree but it is still a very cool section.  5/5

California Screamin is a great rollercoaster.  It was said it can't decide what it wants to be, a hybrid, steel or wood coaster or a launched coaster or lift hill.  Through all that though, this is a very good and smooth launched coaster.  You go from 0 to roughly 55 MPH in seconds and up a hill for some really good airtime.  This occurs over just a mile long coaster with hills, loops and drops.  5/5

Toy Story Mania is an interactive shootem ride.  You get in a vehicle and shoot hoops, balls, rockets, darts and other things at moving targets in this ride.  You complete with your ride partner and by the end your arm feels dead.  Its a lot of fun and I was laughing so hard at the final "keep shooting" and my arm was wore out.  5/5

Overall, even though DCA doesn't have nearly as much to do as Disneyland, it's still a fun park to visit and spend a day or so in.  I may consider another pass so I can explore this park more often and do more things.

So until the next time...
