Oct 1st - Welcome to October and Happy Birthday!!!

Welcome foolish mortals...to October. We are officially in the haunting month of the year. Believe it or not, I have yet to hit one haunt this season. Just been a rough portion of the year with costs and everything else adding up. Looking to try to visit a few soon. Maybe not the big ones as I'm not a fan of those crowds but there are plenty of smaller ones.
Today is also the 54th birthday of Walt Disney World. I have visited it probably well over 1000 times. I've been an annual pass holder for over 20 years and love going there. I don't even need to go on rides or anything like that all the time. Sometimes I just enjoy walking around and taking in the atmosphere and nostalgic memories and sights and sounds. It's definitely a favorite pastime of mine.
Speaking of birthdays today, Epcot turns 44. Another park that I thoroughly enjoy especially now with the Food and Wine Festival in full swing. As the weather changes, even if just a little, it's nice to walk around at night and take in the sights and lights and the food.
So our government is shutdown right now and there's blame going all over the place but when you control the presidency, the House and the Senate, isn't it on you? Just asking for those of us who are affected by this. And don't even get me started on "the speeches" yesterday because this site is not a political site. Just know they all suck!!!
Okay, enough ranting. Halloween season is in full swing now so let's all get out and enjoy it.
Until next time...
BBP out!!!
